Our Winery

Lumina WineryLumina Winery makes wine from local fruits and grapes as well as grape juice and concentrate. Our Sweet Carlos, Carlos Gold, and Wrightsville Red are made from Muscadine Grapes that we buy from Bannerman Vineyard in Burgaw, NC. Our Cabernet Franc is sourced from Riverside Vineyard in Booneville, NC. Our Blueberry Wine is made from Blueberries from White Lake, NC. For most of our dry reds we source certified varietal grape juice from California. For our semi sweet wines such as our Green Apple Riesling, Peach-Apricot Chardonnay, Raspberry Merlot etc. We use grape juice and concentrate and natural flavorings that come to us from Canada. These are our most popular wines. All of our dry reds are aged in American Oak Barrels. Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz have been in the barrel for over 2 years!

Due to sandy soil conditions and hot summers only Muscadine Grapes will grow commercially in Southeastern North Carolina, therefore we are forced to source our grapes from elsewhere. Lumina Winery does not have a vineyard. We purchase fruits and grapes from local farmers when feasible and are a proud member of Goodness Grows in North Carolina.

Wine Tastings: We offer wine tasting during business hours for $4.50 plus tax. This includes a take home Lumina Winery tasting Glass.
